I just noticed a Fantastico calendar script listed in this forum. I know nothing about using php, except that I've been trying to install a php-based calendar for about three weeks to no avail. I did get it installed, but menus are not working, user permissions are not working. Support takes 3-5 days.

I'm thinking about uninstalling what I have and using the WebCalendar script. It is listed under Other Scripts, is it a Lunar supported script?

Can it be incorporated into my Intranet and not take over; that is, my header and menus will still appear? If I run into problems trying to do this, does Lunar provide guidance?

I do not know PHP in terms of coding, and use Dreamweaver for my web and intranet site--experience level a little more than beginner--just enough to be dangerous. Should a newbie take on this activity?

Thanks

Hi,

Please can you let me know which server you are on?
Calendar is disabled with regards to fantastico and we do not support it.
As for experience level, I would go for whatever you want to try, learning is great fun Smile

Under Useful links for Fantastico Installation, it lists Other Scripts, one of which is
WebCalendar
http://webcalendar.sourceforge.net/

Is this disabled/not supported, or something that has been found to work for Lunar users?

Thanks for your help

Thanks,

That's odd "Webcalender" is not enabled, I'm not sure how you managed to install it.
Good luck with your scripting, remember you can always ask for advice in the php forums if you get stuck. Razz

Sorry for a confusing post. The script I installed was from hotscripts.com. After having problems installing, I came to the Lunar Forum and came across the WebCalendar listing in the forum.  It was listed under

Lunarpages Web Hosting Forum Index » PHP & MySQL.
In the The second Announcement " Please read before posting in this section" It mentions the relatively new Message Boards/Forums & Fantastico Scripts link. Under this link I found another topic "Sticky: Useful Links For Fantastico Installations" This topic lists the WebCalendar script.

I did not try to download or install this script. Because it was kind of buried in the content I was a little confused on its status. Thanks for letting me know that it is not enabled for consideration. I'll keep plodding along with what I've got..
