Hi

OK, I'll admit that I haven't read Garvey's links to the various products, but I wondered if anyone knew whether any of the three fantastico e-commerce offerings, do what I am looking for...

I am getting married in December and rather than having a traditional wedding list (like we have in the UK), my partner and I would rather ask people to contribute to activities on our honeymoon (i.e. white water rafting, bungee jumping, etc.).

So I decided to build a web site to do this (woo-hoo!).  Time is short, however, as  I've left this to the last possible moment.  What I need to know is whether any of the e-commerce options provided would cope with the following process:

1.  Friends/relatives choose an activity(ies) to contribute to and press submit button.
2.  Go off to payment site and credit card/payment details taken.
3.  Come back to my site and confirm transaction/update my database.

The main crux, is that as it's a contribution, nothing needs to be delivered and I don't need to ask for delivery addresses or quantities.

Can any of the solutions cope with this?

Thanks for your time

I don't know about the OS Commerce solutions, but Pay Pal Donations would handle this. You may want to rethink getting address's and such, as you will still want to send Thank You cards to those folks.

Thanks fretnmore - yep that certainly looks what I am looking for!  Thanks very much for the quick reply.

We already have everyone's addresses, as we needed them to send the invitations.

Thanks again

I definitely agree with you. Pay Pal can do a great job in terms of payment. Actually, I am also using Pay Pal and I have no problem of it. Because of the fact that it is really secured and easy to use.

Hmm you could perhaps use a simple Joomla or Wordpress and use another payment processor.
