Hi --

I constantly receive messages indicating my board is unavailable.  I believe  MySQL is locking out the forum when someone else is viewing.

I am wondering if I have everything set up correctly and if there is any further tuning I can do to allievate some of the not available messages?

Q...

Is it a PHPBB error message or MySQL?

Also, I can browse your forum fine without any error.

It seems to be a server error.

Hi Q...

We would need the exact full error message you are receiving when it happens in order to postulate what is happening.  Without the actual error message, it is blindly guessing in the dark.

Thanks.

Everyday I am getting a lot messages similar to these:

[Thu Feb 10 12:37:12 2005] [error] [client 82.225.254.151] File does not exist: /home/qisoft1/public_html/forums/403.shtml
[Thu Feb 10 12:36:18 2005] [error] [client 196.40.71.203] File does not exist: /home/qisoft1/public_html/forums/403.shtml

The IPs are all different.  I have not placed a deny on any of these IPs and at times I cannot access this sub-domain.  Is it busy?

Q...

Did you look at the corresponding raw logs for the same time point? That could provide insight on what was going on before the error.
