I understand Fantastico is for a FRESH install of Joomla.  I have created a Joomla site on my MAMP testing server on my computer.  Now I want to put it on my hosting server.

I have uploaded the site to my hosting server, I have exported my database from MAMP, but I don't know where to put the database on Lunar Pages?

I also don't understand how to change the config file ONLINE, through my cPanel, because if I change it on my testing server then I'll no longer be able to view my pages on my testing server, and I still have work to do on the site.  So it'll have to have a config file for online, maybe done through my files on the cPanel?  I don't know.

So my questions are:
Q. I have an exported database from my joomla site, where do I put it on Lunar Pages? And I have created a database (same name as on my testing server) on my cPanel in MyPhp or MySql -- whatever it was -- I've forgotten for the moment  Confused )
Q. I have uploaded my joomla website to my hosting server, and according to tutorials I've read that's where it belongs, not in Fantastico (as that's for creation of a joomla website??)
Q. What needs to be changed on the config file in order to sync with the database on the hosting server?
Q. How do I make the changes through cPanel in order to preserve the data on my joomla config file on my testing server?

Thanks.  I've done everything that needs to be done.  I think the config file may be the problem.  I still get the message Database Error: Unable to connect to the database:Could not connect to database.

My database is where it's supposed to be on lunarpgs.

This has to be a config.php file issue, I would think.

Try this MySQL connection test I posted on the blog not too long ago to test if everything is alright with the database connection:

That should help narrow down where the problem might be.  Thumbs Up

Hey thank you so much.  Support got back with me and said what I had forgotten to do was to put the prefix and underscore before the database name on the config file.  I had it before my username, but didn't put it before the database name.
So I'm good to go and I'm live!  Yeah!

thank you again!  Kind of you to respond back.
