[offtopic]You should disable html code. It could be a way for someone to hack your guestbook[/offtopic]
It seems you have to be an admin to comment on messages. Could you please post a screenshot of the weird page?

Hi Vincci, Unfortunately, the Advanced Guestbook has serious exploits that have caused it to be removed from cPanel. We sent an email out to all users about this and you can see the post on the forum about it at the following location: http://www.lunarforums.com/forum/viewtopic.php?t=24916As such, it would be recommended that you remove the script and use another one for the Guestbook. I understand that this may be frustrating based on the time you've already spent on it, but the exploit that can be used via this Guestbook compromises the account's email capabilities and admin area of the Guestbook itself. Please remove it and you can check www.hotscripts.com to find another one. Viper Guestbook is a relatively good one: http://www.hotscripts.com/Detailed/30606.htmlThanks.

Nopes. I didn't get any email.
Thanks for the headsup. Sucks for me though.

I was bummed about not being able to use Advanced Guestbook too. But I think it's one of those things where a bad situation leads to a much better result. I found out about Viper Guestbook. It addresses things that AG lacks, such as admin approval of posts, anti-spam measures built-in. And it is very customizable, and is integratable into your existing site. I have made my guestbook integrate into the look of my gallery. Even when the theme on my gallery changes, the guestbook will match the look of the new theme. Unfortunatley, there is no script yet to convert from AG to Viper. I did mine manually since I only had 10 entries.

Thanks Thu! How do you upload the whole Viper directory onto my files? I've tried doing it in Cpanel but you can only upload one file at a time. And I currently don't have dreamweaver or frontpage. (Computer crashed! )

You can use an FTP client like FileZilla that is free: http://filezilla.sourceforge.net/Just download it and install it, then the settings to connect via FTP would be the following: Address: pinktify.com User: pinkti2 Password: Your cPanel password here Then do the Enter key on your keyboard (or click the "Quick Connect" button in Filezilla). You will need to navigate on the left hand remote site pane to the folder where you are wanting to upload the files, then locate locally on the right hand side local site pane where the files are located.

Thanks. Good job on your guestbook. To remove that background, open style.inc in your theme's folder. Looks like the standard one. FIND: //* CSS-Style for the body-Tag Below it, it has the style for the body tag. Remove: background:url(<?php skindir()?>images/background.jpg) repeat-y; For some reason I can't view the images on your guestbook in Firefox. It looks fine in IE and Opera. Strange thing is I can view the image file if I go to it directly in Firefox, but I can't see them on the page.

You're welcome. It's turning out nicely. I wondered about that comment display, too at first. There are two types of comments. The comments you see in my guestbook are admin comments that I entered in the admin panel. The comments that users make are shown after you click a link. It doesn't seem like they can be made to show up like the admin comment but I haven't looked into it closely. You might want to check out the guestbook's forums to see if others have posted about it.

Oh ok. I think you're right about them just linking it.
How did you make it that when you sign the guestbook, it opens up to a new page? (I have a blue background for mine and I am trying to get rid of the blue) And is it possible to make it go straight back to the forum after you signed it?
Thanks!
