Greetings!

I have recently upgraded my Mambo site to Joomla using the install to new directory and migrate method.

The random_image module is working fine on the original (Mambo) site, but on the Joomla site it seems that the photo flashes up on the screen and then disapears.

I know it's seeing the files as the "no images" message appears when I point it to an empy folder.

Any suggestions appreciated!

Thanks!

Okay, I resolved the problem.

If your images aren't showing up, pay very careful attention to the path you set in the module configuration.

I had two issues:
1. left the "s" off the end of /images.
2. testing between an implementation in the root and one in a subdirectory, the physical directories they look in are based on the root of the web, so /images means something different to each one.

Hope my stupidity helps somebody else down the line.

That is really interesting problem you got with images. I did similar things in  the past i upgrade some modules from mambo to joomla. becase i am using joomla 1.5 at the moment, but didn't  have similar issues as you. Thank you for letting us know how did you fix it. Usually path makes trouble to a lot of web designers, if you dont get one letter right whole web site is not working .

regards,
