Hello everybody!  Very Happy

Wanted to let you know I finished up a page dedicated to the Magento e-commerce and shopping cart script to the web hosting wiki.  Hope the information there comes in handy.

I'm rather new to the script myself, so this is your call to duty.   Smile  If you have any Magento tutorials, tips  or information you think should be featured on this page, reply here or send me a PM and I'll be more than happy to get them added.

Hey Mitch congrats for including Magento in LP, I've been using it for about a year now and it's an awesome application. I just have some few questions

In the wiki said:
Install options:

LPCP WebApps = Yes

What is LPCP WebApps?

Could we install Magento in your share servers?

Cheers

Right now, the only servers that fully support Magento are those with the LPCP control panel.  So for the time being, that would leave shared servers using cPanel in the dark for now.  LPCP's Web Apps Pool is it's version of cPanel's Fantastico add-on.  It has many scripts and services that come ready to be installed after filling out a few options - instead of doing a manual install.  You can learn about it here:

Yes, at this time older hosting accounts that just have cPanel are not switching to LPCP, but the LPCP control panel is an option for new clients.  If you wanted to, I think going from cPanel to LPCP is a possibility, however a little more complicated than the other way around.  Might contact support and they can probably give you all the information on what would be needed to be done.
