We recently tried running some auctions with phpAuction and ran into an odd (and deadly) problem: The first few auctions closed fine and there were no problems, but then the program started sending thousands of e-mail notifications on closing auctions, both to the seller and buyer. We had no choice but to close down the auctions completely, and Lunarpages had no suggestions on how to fix this (I've also been unable to find any similar problems reported with the software by googling and searching).
