Using phpbb2, and have a few questions.
1) Is there a modifcation to the forum, that allows categories, then once you choose a category, takes to u the forum sections.. then ppl post in those..ex) Xbox[category]>General Discussion,Xbox Live, Halo2..etc..
2) Is there a script that allows easy installation of mods to the board. I attempted to install one manually, but there was no sql that delt with it..
Yeah, two things Im wondering.

1) There is, It's posted somewhere at phpbb.com under the mods seection.
2) Yes there is, BUT, it's experiemtnal and may not work correctly and you will not be able to remove the mods(you can but you would have to do some stuff manually).

Garvey, I dl'ed easymod off of phpbb site, but when I went to install a category script.. it said something about not being able to add sql queries to db.. Im sure I got the latest version.. but it said something about adding the feature in future releases...  thanks. |

Another Question: How do I delete some of the admin options in the left menu. One of the mods I installed added a bunch of useless ones. Wouldn't be that bad, but they dont even work.. thanks.

Tvirus, if you've got that error you must be giving it the wrong database details. check this thread, it's not about installing easymod, but it will give you tips on how a database creates the details. http://www.lunarforums.com/forum/viewtopic.php?t=21575

I know how sql runs.. but what the issue is I noticed with every mod I try to install with easymod, they all are missing .tpl files..only one or two usually.. which is causing it never to install - or if it does.. not gonna do much without the files..every mod has been like that.. any clue why?
btw, I installed the beta one, which adds sql, I noticed that I was using the older version that does not.. but still does the same thing anyways.

if you are using a clean phpbb forum (the plain standaard 2.0.11) there a premodded package available on the page... could be handy  |
