The first time I performed a software upgrade on my phpbb board I clobbered some appearance features I previously implemented on the board.  

I now do the upgrades manually based on LunarPages notifications and phpBB alerts.  I recently implemented the fixes for the phpBB 2.0.15 release. Don't know when your script will be checking my server (Mars) but if there is a problem, just wanted to provided this notification.  

I assume the script will be checking for some sort of release number update.  Since I only make the code changes and do not change release numbers the script may give a false negative as to whether the upgrades have been made.

That's a good point... LP hasn't said exactly how the script is checking the version info, and if they did then people could probably change that piece without upgrading the rest. Sort of an situation to try and monitor I guess. It still might catch you though since I believe the sript is automated in its detection and disabling. If only more people where as good about keeping the boards patched like you are the need for the script to check wouldn't be as necessary. (I would go ahead and remove the old version # from the copyright info at the bottom of your forum pages though. I think v2.0.12 is when it was removed from the official releases.)

i upgrade mine using directions from phpbb.com and it upgrades the whole thing. when you go to the updates make sure to scroll to the bottom and click on the 'manually upgrade' buttons and change all of them Very Happy
