Earlier this evening, I attempted to move my WordPress files and lost? them somehow. I decided to go ahead and remove and reinstall WordPress to fix the problem. When I attempted to reinstall WordPress, I was told that I cannot install two scripts in the root directory. Instead of using my brain before I acted, I proceeded to delete all the Coppermine files I could find (my other script) in order to "free up" my root directory.

I went back to Fantastico which told me that I could only manually upgrade WordPress or Coppermine. I successfully removed WordPress, but am unable to remove Coppermine. Whenever I attempt to do so, I get the following message:

" Missing file - removal aborted

A necessary component needed for removal could not be found. Please remove this installation manually. Additionally delete:
- The MySQL database "taoofc2_copp1"
- The MySQL user "taoofc2_copp1"
- The Fantastico settings file "/home/taoofc2/.fantasticodata/Coppermine Photo Gallery/taoofcoffee.com|"

The manual removal is done, remove this installation from the Fantastico registry.
"

I have screwed up big time and have no idea how to clean up my mess. Sad I need assistance from anyone with know-how in this issue! A thousand thank yous in advance.

Jenny

P.S. Yes, you can laugh at my lack of "computer hacking skillllls."  Embarassed

For the Wordpress issue, you just need to edit    installed_in_root.php in the .fantasticodata folder. You can do that with cpanel's File Manager. Change the 1 to a 0. You should also delete the WordPress folder under .fantasticodata.

For Coppermine,  delete the folder you installed it into, delete the database and user, delete the Coppermine_Photo_Gallery folder under .fantasticodata.

Holler or PM me if you need more help.
