Hey there,

This is my first post here, so I hope that you guys will be kind enough to give attention to this message. I have been experiencing a problem with my wordpress install ever since I've been a client with lunarpages. This does not ever happen with any other hosting company I'm using.

To make a long story short, I seem to be getting strange errors that prevent me from using some great plugins (Link to Post for example) or simple wordpress options like clicking on "Insert embedded media" when I'm writing/editing a post. The error always revolves around js/tinymce ...

This is the exact message I'm getting after having clicked: Forbiden access, error type: 403 Requested URL: /blog/wp-includes/js/tinymce/themes/advanced/image.htm?ver=327-1235 is forbidden.

I have taken a screenshot and uploaded it here : http://www.mesfinancesperso.com/WordPress403error.jpg

In this picture, I have clicked on "Insert Image" option from tiny mce and got the error. Hope you guys will be able to help me out on this, I'm out of solutions.

I am willing to provide as much info as needed, hope to hear from you guys!

Thanks in advance!

Check the folder permissions for the folders that file it is asking for is in.  Might change to 755 if needed.

Welcome to the forums, hope that helps!

Hey there,

Many thanks for your answer. This is the first thing I've done. I have just checked again, everything is fine (all folders with 755, all files with 644)...

Definitely an odd error, might try posting about it here too:

Looks like you've got a plugin (or worse, a theme mod) that alters the TinyMCE theme in WordPress. The deactivate that plugin and see what happens.

I think you are right. I have tested desactiving my plugins one by one (and testing everytime), still no luck. If it's a "theme mod" like you said, what do you suggest? I can't stand this problem anymore =( I don't mind changing theme if it's gonna do the trick.

Yeah try disabling all the plugins and then switch back to the default theme that comes with WordPress, then see if you still get the same error.

I took a look at the theme you use and it doesn't appear to make any modifications to the wordpress tinymce function. You've got a cForms type plugin running which is certainly altering your TinyMCE advanced theme so I don't think you're done with checking plugins.

You can always reinstall WordPress 2.9.1. There's a chance that you left a plugin running that affected the tinymce upload. I will confirm it's not a problem in the WordPress core as of 2.9.1.

The good news is the Advanced Image button which is throwing the 403 isn't necessary anymore in tinymce since the upgraded WordPress core image uploader takes care of that heavy lifting.
