Hey Folks

I've been trying to upgrade my site to a newer version of coppermine, and am running into what appears to be a common issue:
Code:
"While executing query 'SELECT MAX(group_quota) AS disk_max, MIN(group_quota) AS disk_min, MAX(can_rate_pictures) AS can_rate_pictures, MAX(can_send_ecards) AS can_send_ecards, MAX(can_post_comments) AS can_post_comments, MAX(can_upload_pictures) AS can_upload_pictures, MAX(can_create_albums) AS can_create_albums, MAX(has_admin_access) AS has_admin_access, MAX(access_level) AS access_level, MIN(pub_upl_need_approval) AS pub_upl_need_approval, MIN( priv_upl_need_approval) AS  priv_upl_need_approval FROM cpg_usergroups WHERE group_id in (3)' in bridge/udb_base.inc.php on line 323

mySQL error: Unknown column 'access_level' in 'field list'

The site is http://www.skolaiimages.com/stock/index.php

I don't know anything about myPHP and databases, queries, etc ... I'm pretty sure I uploaded all the files correctly. I've posted on cpg's forum, but the support there has so far been non-existent and the threads I've found don't explain (for me) what I need to do.

Any help would be greatly appreciated.

Thank you.

Cheers

Did the upgrade come with a .sql file and did you upload it in phpmyadmin? You are missing a new table field.

 Hey Katrina

Thanks so much for your help.

The upgrade did come with an SQL folder. I don't know how to upload it in phpMyAdmin though, I can sign in via C-panel, but I don't know what to do once I get there.

I kinda need kindergarten instructions regarding this stuff, unfortunately. If you'd be so kind as to maybe offer a step by step instruction, I'd really really appreciate it.

Thanks so much

Cheers

Hi Carl,

Please run the update file which will update your database for you. If it fails, check to be sure you uploaded the sql folder. Be sure to make a backup of the database first in phpmyadmin under the export tab before updating. Click on the database in phpmyadmin and look for the export tab along the top.

hi Katrina

Thank you for the assistance. I ran the update.php file, and the error continues.I uploaded the sql folder. I also went thru the update.sql file and changed all instances of the prefix 'CPG' to 'cpg', which is the prefix used in my database structure, then ran update.php again. Same problem.

One question .. the file update.sql ... can I just open it in a text editor, make the changes, and resave it, and upload with the suffix 'sql'?

Do I just copy the update.sql file into the box on phpMyAdmin and click 'go'?

Thank you.

Cheers
