Helli, I'm a total newb at this website stuff and would like to download, then update wordpress.
I'm at the page where it asks which directory to put in (document root (/) or other). Which one should I pick and why.
Any other things I should be aware of before I go ahead and download? Thank you for the help.

If you want it to show up under your primary domain name for that account, then I would recomend putting everything in the /wordpress/ folder into your public_html folder. If you want to install it for an addon domain, then you would upload the content inside /wordpress/ into the add-on domain's folder.
Which control panel are you using? You might find it easier to install it from within the LPCP control panel or from within cPanel.

Hi Mitch, Actually I'm in the LPCP. It asks if I want to install it in the document root (/) or other. I don't have an add on domain...not even sure what that is.
I have the starter plan and have my domain at the other hosting company. I changed the nameservers there a couple of days ago. Is there anything I need to do at this end?
Also, I'm going to be purchasing a wordpress e shop theme to use as my website. I'm not sure if that makes a difference as to which directory I download to.
One other question. Where is says blog title, is this something I can change later? What is the importance of the title?

From LPCP, go to the WebApps Pool, then under select a WebApp to Install, select WordPress.
In the drop down for domain name, select the domain name you wish to install it under, then hit the button labeled install.
Under Destination directory, I would choose document root. Hope that helps!
Yes, you can change the blog title later, this is just what will be shown in on the blog after it is installed, such as, "GNP's Fantastic Blog".

thanks Mitch. I've installed it successfully. How do I update it to the latest version? Do I do that through LPCP? Thanks.

I would recommend upgrading through the WordPress administrator interface from now on, since you can get notifications on updates almost as soon as they are released there.
