I mean that in all honesty too! It has good phpbb conversion tables and the tables don't delete any blasted software so if you don't like smf, just delete the new database lol  [or just use the same database and it'll then delte all the information previously, but it will as well convert it 100%]  Really be sure to try it if phpbb is just not up to snuff for you. www.SimpleMachines.org[I'm not a moderator or anything there, just an end user lol] |

My newest forum uses SMF as well, apparently the theme is designed by the same individual who designed your forum's theme (Bloc). The best thing other than the ease of administration is the great ability to really dramatically change the layout so that you can have a unique-looking forum site. In phpBB, all the forums look the same other than the Esbardu one. I looked and looked to find anything really different for phpBB but the script must just be too strict to allow those kinds of changes. SMF is really great  Also, this is just my opinion, not my opinion as a staff member but as an end user. This means that Lunarpages in no way endorses this opinion |

OOH DANIELLE...i don't want to cause alarm, but you need to update your SMF 1.02 is out. Go to "Package Manager" and there will be a link to the update right there smack dab in the middle of your screen. All you do is cluck the link, enter database passwerd, and "proceed" and voila...you are updated...maybe not all those steps either. I like to update manually myself. |

Oh good thing I read this. I am using SMF for my Dad's forum and I need to go do the update too! Thanks, BlueTicona!! And to add ... I tested all the different forum programs and went with SMF cuz I liked it best out of all! Thanks to Dani for suggesting it to me back then! |

LOL, the update was almost too fast and simple, I wasn't sure it did it I finally FTP'd to the server and sure enough all the files were updated. Amazing! |
