the full hostname is set to "vps16.trader88.com", can i change it to "trader88.com"? I have create a .forward file in root directory, every time i got a mail, then sender is root@vps16.trader88.com

If i changed it , seems all my mail functions stop working.

I think there is a setting in /proc/sys/kernel/hostname
but I really don't suggest you change it as if you do you have to change setting in named service as well and probably httpd too  etc.

I have changed it my real domain.

the "vps16.mydomain.com" is a fake domain, can not be resolved.

so far so good. the root start receive mail.
