People who use the nameservers of lunarpages and make the transfer to the virtual private server option need to change the nameservers and can not use the lunarpages nameservers, right ?

OK...  you have to change this by means of your IP/the registrar of your domain, right ?

In the case of a virtual private server...  Is it correct that you get a personal IP adress with this option and this is the number you have to transfer to your IP/registrar ?

For example : now it is ns6.lunarpares.com and you change it into 213.224.654.213 (when this is the IP address you got from Lunarpages).

By doing so, people who type in your URL are getting to your site.

you get an IP address, but you also have to run a nameserver..

so, you'd switch from ns6.lunarpages.com to ns1.yourdomain.com at your registrar.  Then, you probably also have to register the nameserver at that IP with the registrar.

there's a thread that they link to a bunch, if you look at some of the other nameserver threads.

Hi,

Just to add. Your own nameservers should be registered at your domain's registrar before you will be able to point the domain to them.

http://www.lunarforums.com/index.php/topic,27720.0.html is the link Nolimyn told you about.
