Hello All,

3 Days back, I opened VPS account with LP.
I am totally new to VPS.

When I register the VPS account, I registered new domain "webdesign-for-250-dollars.com".
Even After 3 days, I am not able to access www.webdesign-for-250-dollars.com using my browser.

If there anything else, I have to do ?

This is my DNS Entry...
  Host     Record type          Value
 <domain>. NS ns1.webdesign-for-250-dollars.com.
 <domain>. NS ns2.webdesign-for-250-dollars.com.
 <domain>. A <ip>
 <domain>. MX (10) mail.<domain>.
 <ip> / 24 PTR <domain>.
 ftp.<domain>. CNAME <domain>.
 mail.<domain>. A <ip>
 webmail.<domain>. A <ip>

when I try access using http://IP_address, I am getting the following Error.
If you see this page it means:
1. hosting for this domain is not configured
or
2. there's no such domain registered in Plesk

In Plesk,
Plesk->Domains Menu,
I see this entry...
    webdesign-for-250-dollars.com July 5, 2007 0 0 0.84 MB 0.00 MB/Month
So I think it is added.

In Plesk,
Plesk->Clients Menu,
    My Domains webdesign-for-250-dollars.com July 5, 2007
I see this entry...
So I think it is added.

So I think I have to do some configuration, I dont know what I have to do Please some one explain me...
Thanks

Hi,

The domain webdesign-for-250-dollars.com is currently using the following nameservers:

NS4.LUNARPAGES.COM
NS3.LUNARPAGES.COM

These nameservers are used for shared accounts. You need to register private nameservers with the IP of your VPS and then use them for your domain. Please see http://www.lunarforums.com/index.php/topic,27720.0.html for more details. Steps for OpenSRS will work for domains registered through Lunarpages.

Please do not hesitate to ask if you have any further questions.

Hi dmsundaram,

Glad to help. What I sent you is actually the username and password for the account itself (not to be confused with your server login information). VPS and Dedicated servers have actual server access/login information that is different from the users account information. What I sent you is what the Basic, Business and Windows accounts use to access their accounts AND their servers. It also is what is used for Domain Name account management through manage.opensrs.net.

VPS and Dedicated accounts have another access level for their actual servers in addition to their usual account information.
