Hi, lunarpages team,

I found our VPS server is down, and sent a ticket and email to you 5 hours ago, but got no reply. Is there anyone who can help me to check my website chinafacttours.com and easytourchina.com. What is going on there? My ticket number is Ticket #2765264.

Thank you and look forward to hearing from you soon.

Hi China, I am curious about this since I'm evaluating Lunar. How was this resolved for you?

Hello dwaynnyt,

Without actually revealing any information about this specific customer or their issue, I would guess it was due to an out of memory situation. Sometimes people install Wordpress quite often and pick an inefficient plugin, or a hacker attempts a bruteforce password guessing attack against their /wp-admin login which then in turn starves the server of available resources (RAM, CPU) which then will in turn cause it to stop responding. This type of attack is easily mitigated with the Wordpress plugin "Limit Login Attempts". Joomla and other Content Management Systems also frequently come under attack. We can mitigate these issues for you if you wish.

In regards to our quality of service and support, if you look up the original posters domains at http://CentralOps.net and scroll to the "Network Whois Record" section, you'll see they are still hosting within the LunarPages IP range, almost a year after their post, so I guess we're doing something right.

Hope this helps!
