Hi All,

I'm using Plesk 8.1.0 on a VPS setup.

When viewing my stats (Webalizer) for a particular month, scrolling down to "Top 30 of XXXX Total URLs" yields ONLY lets me view the top 30 URLs. On another webhost for another site that I work on, using Webalizer also, I can view "Top 20 of XXX Total URLs," which then lists out the top 20, followed by a "View All URLs" link at the bottom of the table. On LP, I don't get the "View All URLs" option.

Is this a config thing somewhere in LunarPage's installed version of Webalizer? Is it something I can change myself in Plesk (I don't have cPanel), or can the staff at LP add it? We really need those stats on pages that are getting the lower numbers.

Thanks!

Hello,

You got the default config that comes with Plesk. If you would like to customize webalizer reports, you need to edit /usr/local/psa/etc/webalizer.conf.

Fantastic, Vlad, thanks!

Now, um, how do I get there? FTPing in only gets me to the root of whichever site I selected.

Thanks!

Hi,

You need to do that from shell. Please use the following great tutorial created by Abhilash on how to ssh in in your VPS server:

http://www.lunarforums.com/forum/index.php?topic=26372.0

Once you logged in, you need to use one of editors to edit the configuration of webalizer. For example, you can issue this command in shell to open the config in the editor called nano:

Code:
nano /usr/local/psa/etc/webalizer.conf

I hope this helps.

Yes it does help, very much, except...

After making a change to the file, I select "write out" then hit enter for the name (presumably overwriting the file?) which then returns "could not open file for writing: Permission Denied"

EDIT:

OK, figured out how to get in and make the changes to /usr/local/psa/etc/webalizer.conf, yet it makes no difference changing "#TopSites    30"  to "TopSites     100", nor if I change "#AllSites     no" to "AllSites   yes"

Do I need to restart the webserver, or just wait until Webalizer writes to the log file next?

Thanks!

That's correct, you need to wait until Webalizer produces new stats.

Actually, no go this morning. Looks like it was generated at "Generated 16-Mar-2007 05:50 CDT," yet it's still giving me only the Top 30, with no link to "View more." I modified the config file sometime yesterday afternoon.

Hmmm...

You enabled AllSites as per your words, but you mentioned the "View All URLs" option at the beginning of this post. Did you enable AllUrls option as well?

D'oh! How could I have missed that?

Thanks for all your help, Vlad! I'll check it tomorrow... but is there a way to run the reports manually?

Hello,

Execution of "/usr/local/psa/admin/sbin/statistics" should force its run.
