Xen VPS Web Hosting is HERE! Applause

There has been some discussion about this VPS hosting plan we now offer via the forums here, so I thought now would be the time to introduce you all to this great Virtual Private Server deal.  Lunarpages now provides and even greater stepping stone between its shared hosting and dedicated servers with the Xen VPS Hosting packages.

Here is a little more about the Xen VPS hosting plans I wrote up in this month's newsletter:

What makes Xen VPS hosting so great? Xen-powered VPS are completely independent from the hardware node, and each other. This means that you are able to run updates independently of the hardware node. This also means that one customer can’t crash a service or the server. If one front end server ceases to work, the VPS’ that were running on that server can be restarted on other Xen servers, almost instantly.

Here are the three newest family members to the Lunarpages VPS hosting family.  All three are Xen-powered bulls, ready to out work any other VPS hosting plan you can put against them.

Read the rest of the "Xen Power Added to Lunarpages VPS Hosting".

Now you might look elsewhere, and maybe even see cheaper prices.  However, with out new line of Xen powered VPS hosting plans, you will see no competitor that can deliver the same performance.

Just wanted to make sure that the Xen Linux Starter VSP does not have the ability to have Cpanel - I only see it on the pro.  Thanks

That is correct, however you do have the choice of using no control panel, the LunarPanel or Plesk.  The reason for this is cPanel takes up some extra resources, and we want to make sure those resources go toward your web site and not your backend control panel. Smile

Both Plesk and the LunarPanel are good control panels in their own right too.  If control panels were flavors of ice cream, you could think of cPanel as one flavor, Plesk as another flavor, and LunarPanel as another flavor.  All three taste great, and get the job done as far as giving you access to all the tools you would need (including stats).  Thumbs Up

For more information about Plesk, I would recommend checking out:

http://www.parallels.com/products/plesk/

The LunarPanel is much like the LPCP that our shared hosting customers get, you can find a lot of screenshots and tutorials about it here:

http://wiki.lunarpages.com/Category:LPCP

Hope that helps!

Thanks for your links Mitch.

But I want to be sure, the starter plan include  LPCP without any additional cost? I noticed the package that the plesk is available (that means it need extra cost to use it).

Am I correct ? Confused

The Linux Starter VPS hosting plan here:

http://www.lunarpages.com/xen-virtual-private-server/

Only comes with support for the LunarPanel at this time, but the good news is it is for no additonal fee. Smile
