I started having issues with a addon domain email a few days ago.. not being able to send, but receiving emails just fine.. The actual error was " Could not complete sender verify ".

Looking at the trace showed the same issue "Result:   Could not complete sender verify"

The email was being sent using an address that is a forwarder that redirects to a mailbox on the main domain.

But the address could not be verified by the server. So I went and looked at the forwarders. And they were all missing for that addon domain.

This worried me a bit, but I could follow up on that later.. I have 2 days of important rejected email to make up for first..

Trying to add the forwards didn't work because the domain in the dropdown has been munged.

The addon domain is lorrelphotography.com , the domain is now listed as lorrepaper_lanternhotography.com.

Just so happens that the two themes for cpanel you can choose are 'paper_lantern' and 'lp3'

If I had to guess it looks like a sed/awk script over reached and stepped on the config files for email forwarders, and replaced 'lp' with 'paper_lantern'.

It also seems suspect that the day I started having issues with email is the same day the NONA move happened, which is the machine I am hosted on.

I've already opened a ticket and was told "I have forwarded this ticket to our server administrators for further review"

But after a day and a half.. I really need that email working..

Anyone else seeing issues on NONA?

I feel for you, I too have been without e-mail for two days. To top it off, even though I have a ticket opened on the issue and information that the planned IP address change is causing email issues to many, they sent a message to my alternate email account that the change is completed and ready to go.

ugh.. that is a pain..

I even attached screenshots with arrows and annotations, and annotated log entries.. most of the work has been done, just need an admin to fix the bloody issue... grrrr  :?

For what it is worth, my mail has been restored, but the ticket is still sitting in limbo without any action.

That's a good sign I guess.. still can't work with the forwarder settings here, domain name in dropdown still hosed..

Another day, still no email, still no response from support, might be time to shop around for another solution, this in not acceptable..

Do you have a backup the forwarders that you can restore?  Might be faster than waiting.

How is that done.. I'm on a shared server.. Can do that in cpanel? Wish I had shell access, then it would be done.

If you merely need to run a Linux command on the command line, you can do a "cron job" to run something. Be sure to delete the job as soon as it has run.

If you don't have access to the files or run the commands needed, a cron job won't help.

I was referring to the ability to restore a forwarders backup via the cpanel backup wizard. This of course would require that a backup of the forwarders having been saved to your local computer.

FYI. I just found out that the new IP address assigned to BES by LP is blacklisted by Microsoft so I can not send email to Outlook or other m/s clients. AAAAARGH. They have not even responded to the original ticket I opened, ( that started working yesterday ). So this means yet another round of calls and tickets.

Took way longer than it should, but they restored everything and I'm back in business. Hope you get your stuff ironed out...
