TLS not working
« on: October 22, 2017, 02:20:09 PM »
We've been using TLS to upload files to the FTP server for many years.  Every time they move our account to a different server, TSL connection stops working.  It's not just once or twice.  Every time I ask them to fix it, they always say "It's working on our side."  Eventually, they always fall back and say "Oops.  It should now be working."

Several days ago, I asked them to move our account to a different server so that we could use PHP 5.6 as opposed to 5.4.  Before they moved our account, I kindly asked them to make sure that TLS would work since they failed in the past.  They've failed again.  It's been more than a week since we asked them to move our account to a server.  I am quite sure that those support people from India have stopped ignoring me after the last guy said (AGAIN) FTP was working on their side.  (No.  I haven't used an F word yet.)  Well, I'm not talking about FTP.  I'm talking about TLS.

So what can I do about it?  That's not really the end of the world.  I suppose we can still transfer files through the FTP protocol though I haven't tried.  Although we aren't very happy, we aren't going to switch to a different web hosting company, either.  But I would like to have this TLS situation fixed.

An existing ticket number is #4359426.
