Are you trying via Fantastico?  It sounds like you are.  You won't be able to do one click installs if you want to add more scripts and only have one database.  From what I've read on the installs of the scripts you want to add, you're going to have to do this manually.  Which really is just downloading the files, uploading them to where you want them and running the install scripts per the install instructions.

If you have all those files, you can edit the config file directly using an editor.  For the gallery it was called config.php.  For the ads script it was something like config.inc.php.  However, the instructions say to not edit it outright, it could give you problems.

""You have reached the maximum of allowed MySQL databases. Fantastico can not proceed with installations until you upgrade your account or reduce the number of used databases (for example by uninstalling a script).""

How do I edit my "config" file.... and where is that at? :?

No worries.  We've all been there before.  Hope it'll play nice for you now.

When you get a no database selected error, it means it can't connect. 9 times out of ten, the culprit is incorrect configuration settings in the script's config file.

According to the install instructions:  Upload everything to you site.  So, let's say you want to put 4images into a folder called gallery.  Then you should have all of your 4images files located at

http://www.campusfrenzy.com/gallery

Next type the following into your browser to start the install

http://www.campusfrenzy.com/gallery/install.php

It should ask you for settings[database name, username, password.  See the first post for what this would be], according to the install.  Be sure to fill everything correctly.  After that, you should be good to go.  You should do something similiar with the ads script you want to add.  Be sure to follow the instructions carefully.

In order to install PostNuke, you'll have to do it manually.  Meaning that you'll have to download the latest PostNuke and follow the install directions that come with it.  If it's similar to PHP Nuke, then there's prolly a .sql file that will create the tables you need to have that running.  And how to do that is detailed in this How To.  So far ppl haven't had troubles following it, so you should be good to go in that aspect.  Plus the forums are awesome in helping you through any troubles you encounter.

The thing with Fantastico, like all the other scripts you can install with LunarPages is that it requires a fresh database.  If you don't want to do the install manually, you'll have to purchase an additional database at the cost of $1/month.

It might seem daunting, but it isn't all that hard.   Give it a try.  Plus, make a backup of your database as it is now

Ah... actually my problem isn't the technical side; it is simply that I need to know how, who or where I go to order another db to be added to the website.  I can't find a link to your ordering process.  At least not on control panel.  Did I miss it there or is there another logon that I've forgotten about for account maintenance and ordering more features?

Thanks!!

Here's a thread that has a workaround

http://www.lunarforums.com/forum/viewtopic.php?t=16825&highlight=order+another+database

You can e-mail support@lunarpages.com with your username, server name, and last 4 digits of your credit card, and tell them you want another database ($1/month).  If I'm not mistaken, they'll charge you for a year up front so you'll pay $12.

  Hope that helps!  :D

Thanks!  That is very helpful!

I wonder why they simply don't add that to the text that appears to say "you need to order another database to add this feature".  Duh!  they have actually made it difficult to order more of their services... strange.

You have the same problem I do.  We need to order another db - see Chelle's note to me.
