qdpm upload limit
« on: January 30, 2014, 11:08:42 PM »
Hi Everyone,
I have a standard installation of qdpm for a private use.
I need to increase the upload limit for each file form 1 MB to atleast 20 MB for my regular work. I have to break the file into parts and then upload which is not right.
Can anyone please suggest where the upload limit parameter can be changed.
Thanks
Saurabh

A brief look at qdPM's sites seems to suggest that it's built on Symfony, which I think is PHP-based. So, there should be a number of PHP settings you can put in your php.ini file that may allow larger uploads. Give that a try.

Hi Mr Phil, I read the contents of php.ini but found nothing to set the upload. Can you please post the specific line so I could search it? Do we need to restart something after making the changes?

Try something like this in your php.ini file:
Code: [Select]
    upload_max_filesize = 10M
    post_max_size = 10M

Don't forget that you probably need an entry in your .htaccess file
Code: [Select]
suPHP_ConfigPath /home/ACCOUNTNAME/public_html
(or wherever your php.ini file is) to let PHP know where to find the file. Run the following .php script
Code: [Select]
<?php phpinfo(); ?>
before and after changing php.ini, to confirm that the change has taken effect.

All this is for a shared server. I have no idea what you need to restart if on VPS or dedicated.
