I have tried and tried but cannot get a web page password protect to work. I know it is not just HTML code.

If I am connected to the server and make a change to a file, is the change reflected in the file name showing on the server so I can immediately upload it?

How do I view the answers to other people's questions?

Your questions are very strange...

You are trying to password protect a directory (and all pages in it), not an individual page? Use the control panel utility to do that. I don't think it's possible to password protect a single file using this mechanism.

Is your question that you used the control panel > File Manager > editor to modify a file, and want to know if it's immediately available in its new content? Yes, it is. If you're asking about using Dreamweaver, Expression Web, or some other page editor to edit a file, I think you have to explicitly "publish" the page(s) to get them on the server. I don't use that trash, so I can't tell you for sure.

What? I have no idea what you're asking. Whose questions? What site, and what software is used?
