CSS is useless without HTML to apply it to. HTML is the structure and content of the page, while CSS customizes it (appearance and some behavior).
On top of that, you have Javascript to modify the behavior of a page. As far as "languages" go, you can "script" a page using any one of numerous scripting languages (e.g., PHP) to produce the HTML. This dynamically produces a page (which can differ depending on the data) rather than just a fixed, static page if you wrote it directly in HTML.

HTML and CSS both are different things. HTML is the language which is basically used for creating the design of the website. CSS is the one part of web design which is generated by using HTML language to give the attractive look to the website.

HTML is needed for basic web site design but if you wanna nice look, nice color, positioning, background , attractivr then you need CSS. Thanks  |

Well,HTML and CSS both are important aspects of a website.HTML is the language used to represent web pages on internet.whereas CSS is an element of HTML which provides style to the HTML file.CSS expanded as Cascading style sheet is the main element which seperates design element from the HTML file..CSS depicts the design elements to user...So there is no question of which one is better than,as CSS is a part of HTML and interrelated........

CSS is used for designing web.. It's very easy language .. I think any person having creative mind should easily design web by using this language.. While HTML is just a basic language .. we should have knowlege of it before learning CSS...

HTML is a basic need for web designing. If you want to add creativity such as attractive look, eye catchy color combination and dynamic ability, then you need CSS.
