Its me again...

This time i am trying to find a way to make it when i print a webpage i dont want the header and footer of the page location etc. to show up.  i know how to do this on my computer, but i want to code it into the page so when someone else prints the page it doesnt show up either.

is there a way to turn off the header and footer of a webpage?  or set them to "nothing"...

If it crucial that they do not have to click a "printer friendly version" link?

If its not.. just make a second version without the header and the footer! Smile Thats the simplest way to go about it.

If you are into programming cgi or PHP stuff, just have a script that will take the page and remove any content between two tags (eg <!--HEADER> and <!--FOOTER> ) and send back just the content part.

again there is no reason for the printer friendly version link and all the hassle....i posted on your other thread about the hiding the button forms.

css works for this too. follow this link to my explaination and then goto the link that shows a working example of what i'm talkin about.

when the user prints or does a print preview if you do the necessary things then it will show just like you want or print like you want i mean!
