I need to provide a link for downloads on my site so that visitors to my site can download some stuff, but do not know how to do it.Can someone please tell me how to do this? Also, this may sound stupid but I honestly do not know,do I have to place multiple copies of my files on the server for the downloads,i.e.,if I expect that there'll be 'n' downloads of the file,do I have to place 'n'copies of the file on my server to which the download link connects?Or does it work like downloading mail where a copy of the mail(s) is left on the server? Please enlighten me on this matter!

To link to a file, put this in your HTML.

<a href="file.txt">Click here</a>

Where "file.txt" is the name of your file.

You only need 1 copy of the file.

Just to add: The file will be kept on the server.
