I run a website for local parents and have had a couple of people asking if they can run sites in their own area, based on my site structure, content etc. I've built a couple of new ones (in Kompozer) but it's become apparent that one of the new people just can't get her head around the coding side of things. Is there a way she can upload things to the site and they can be sort of slotted into the correct spot by something I have predetermined? For example, the header has a series of images, links etc that rotate - it would be nice if she could just submit these without having to actually delve into editing the header.

Likewise, with pages like this: http://www.essexmums.org/placescolchestercastlemuseum.html I currently do it all in Kompozer, but is there a way someone else could get all the new content on a page without having to actually edit it?

Sorry if this is a really silly, or badly worded question - I'm trying to work out how to explain it and am not doing a very good job!

Sounds like they need a CMS or Wordpress.

I use wordpress on a couple of the areas, but am not sure how I would use this (or CMS) for pages like the one I showed. Perhaps I'm just familiar enough with them, but would I be able to edit the wordpress page to look like the pages of the site (I know how to do the header but not the rest of it). And would I be able to implement a CMS now the site is built? I've had a look at joomla but wasn't really sure how I would use it with the site.

Any CMS will allow you to make a template to look like the site you have now. I don't know the specifics of your site, but you could add a CMS in a subfolder of your site, or in the root, depending on how you've set things up. Personally I'd user use a temporary subdomain or a protected folder to test things out first, but if your users aren't code hounds then they probably need something as simple as a CMS to make content changes without having to touch the code.
