Hello all:

Here's what I'm trying to do on my website:  I have my main page, then I have links to other pages for members of my family - which, of course, links to another folder on my website.

I have designed an "index.html" file for each one of those folders, and uploaded the files.  However, when I click on my main page to "go to Mom's page" or "go to Laura's page," instead of going to their pages, I get a page with the  directory tree that has  "index of ... blah blah" and LISTS the file "index.html."    

Does this make sense?  What am I doing wrong?

mom's page seems to be working fine.  laura's and jim's page, however, only shows the directory.  upload an index.html file to those directories and you should be fine.

Have you only just registered that domain name?

All domain names take a while to start working. 24 hours minimum, 72 hours roughly maximum.

I rebooted and refreshed.  I haven't even tried uploading another index.html file to my other folders because I can't get the first one (in Mom's folder!) to show up..

GRRRRR....          

Ah, good idea.. I have been working too hard the past few days, anyway.. Some good ZZZZZs will help.
