I have just installed a phpbb forum on my site and I was wondering if anyone knows how I would go about removing the logo_phpbb.gif and replacing it with my site logo. I am not afraid to play with the code but I can't find the referrence to the phpbb logo in any of the forum files I downloaded. I thought it might be the index.php file inside the forum folder, but I couldn't find it there--perhaps I've just gone blind from staring at this screen all day!  Shock.!!  Can somebody please help me?  Question  Which file is it?

Another thing I found in my travels today was an instruction to change the permissions for the avatars folder to read, write, and execute in order to allow anyone to use them.  Question  Can somebody tell me how I would do this. I've tried all the permissions links on my Admin Panel and I don't see where to set permissions for just the avatars folder. Any ideas?

Thanks!

The easiest way to do something like that is to right-click on the logo while viewing your forum page, choose properties, and upload a file with the same name to the same location.  Voila!  New logo.

That certainly answers the first question--you're my hero!   Very Happy Thanks TWebMan!

Anybody want to take a stab at the question about setting permissions for the avartars folder?

Hi,

You need to go in the file manager in CPanel.

Browse to the avatars directory by clicking on the folder icons (not the folder names)

When you find the avatar directory, click the name of the folder, then on the right you will see a bit for setting permissions.
