Does lunarpages allow remote linking? Oh yes, and am I the only one who has to reload ten times to get these forum pages to fully load?

Using files on your lunarpages account from another page is not allowed, except for paid accounts.
I'm not sure about the forum loading problem, perhaps you should ask in the feedback section.

Bustub, what browser are you experiencing with this reloading? Also Stephan is correct on the remote linking.

I also have problems with loading and posting in these forums, using Netscape on Sun Solaris (Don't think there are many others using that setup ) [ November 21, 2001: Message edited by: Tobbe ]

Bustub, If you set your cashe down some in NS it might help a bit. Preference > Advanced > cashe. Also set the campare to every time.

Thanks again Bill, I''ll try that, in the meantime I've tried logging in with IE and it's much faster and I have no problem at all. But back to the remote linking, I'm not sure I know what it is. Is linking to other sites or being in a link exchange program remote linking? How about linking to my t-shirt store at Cafepress.com? How about linking to a greeting card service at Bravenet?

It's where another page links directly to the files on your lunarpages account. For example, if you had a yahoo profile and you filled in the section where it asked for a photo of yourself and you put http://www.lunarpages.com/whatever/mypic.jpg it wouldn't work on a free account. Or, another example: If you set up a site on geocities and put lots of .exe files on lunarpages and linked to them, they wouldn't work. That is, if you have a free account. It's fine with paid accounts.

Thanks Stephan, that clear things up for me. You answer back pretty good, for a lazy guy.

Thanks, but how do you know I'm lazy? Did you visit my webpage or something?!
(you are totally right by the way, I am the laziest person I know!)

With regards to the forum not loading, It is either web browser, user error, or ISP related. Nothing more nothing less. It opens in a couple of seconds for me. I have also tried it using netscape 6 and there are no problems. If your having problems with one browser use a different one.
