1. On-line brochure sites are for promoting business, company, services etc.
2. Content sites are for increasing readership.
3. Lead-generation sites for increasing the lead generation.
4. E-commerce sites for increasing sales. 5. Self-service sites for customer satisfaction.

That's good way to differentiate the different website designs. Interactive webdesign also sounds to be good one and also the geotagging and other such features will just add to differentiating the website.

Nowadays you can do anything that Flash "does" with AJAX, HTML5 and CSS3 and you will have a website with lightweight static elements which obviously will not use that many resources and apart from that the website will be 100% SEO friendly so frankly I'd take Flash out of the ecuation nowadays because it's been lately used only for movie streaming.

Yes you are right all these shared website's design types are very important for different type of businesses. I would like to discuss some experience with you people that if you want to be successful in your SEO campaign you should not use flash in your website and if you have small business then static website is helpful for you because it is low cost website and easy to manage.
