Hi,

I did a search and didn't find a post related to this. I would like to add a comments section to my web pages like are done on blogs. I bought a script from a company who I have bought from before and they are good. I had them install it for me and they did but it won't communicate i.e.notify me or save the comment apparently. They have been unable to get it to work on my host here at Lunarpages.

So here's my question - does anyone have a comments script on their site that works? What would you recommend for a script that works on LP?

Thanks!

well i have a question for you, your not being too clear, are you talking about just having a form on your page for customer comments or are you talking about an active blog type display that when customers make comments they are posted on your comments page automatically.. huge difference

for the simple contact form just use http://phpformgen.sourceforge.net/, you can get it thru your fantistico link on your lp control panel,   but i can tell you that the db version of that is messed up, just do the strait form style when you install and then you can modify the form and process yourself to suit your needs...

take a look at the bottom of this page http://www.durangodaves.com/id6.html  is that what you want..

Hi Durangod,

I'm looking for the interactive type like Wordpress provides.

Thanks!

well the easiest and the cheaters way would be to just use iframe and embed the wp version on your site.  there are some scripts out there but i cant really recommend any of them because of course i have not yet tested.  but you might try just doing a google for free php scripts  or free html scripts and youll see several sites.

if anyone else would like to take a jab at helping him that would be great, thanks,  good luck bud i hope you find what your looking for sincerily

Thanks durangod. I'll hunt around. If anyone has any ideas, they would be gratefully accepted.

Hello Friends.......

JS-Kit comments would be one of the easiest ways to add a comments section to your website. All you need to do is copy/paste two lines of JavaScript code. That's it! Once you've uploaded your web page, the comments section will be displayed whereever you placed the code.

Thanks

I don't know how well of a coder you are, but I would suggest you just write a script yourself and store the comments in a database. You could store 3 columns: name, email, and comment.
