OK this one's weird. Suddenly today I can't get to any of my sites using the standard port 80. I can get in via FTP, I can get to cPanel and Webmail, but nada on port 80. I used a few free websites that ping your site to see if it was just me and it's not -- they all were unable to access my sites. I already entered a support ticket several hours ago but have yet to hear anything. I'm on the Aries server if that makes a difference.

Ditto here. On Aries also. I also submitted a ticket to LP support.

Aaah thanks BMBGuy! I had a feeling it wasn't just me. I finally got a reply from support and it looks like they didn't even try to check into a problem, asking me for a traceroute, my ISP, etc. It's not like they even tried to use an external ping service or a free proxy to check it, let alone look into the server. Hopefully someone more competent than the person that replied to my ticket will look into this.

I saw the same thing you did -- everything worked except the web pages. Tracert looked good, FTP worked fine, CPanel said everything was peachy. Some service likely crashed and nobody noticed.

Tick tock...still nothing. Do I get a free month for this? Obviously this is LP's problem.

The network status button in your customer account center is good for a laugh:
"Network Status Status: Network is great Server Status Server: ARIES Status: HTTP is better now, although we expect there might still be intermittent issues with establishing connections Time Added: 2010-07-15 15:01:47"

Exactly. Just got this from support:
"Thank you for contacting Lunarpages helpdesk.
It appears that there was an issue with ARIES server where your account is located.
Our admins are aware and investigating on the issue for you now.
You should be able to access your account again without issue as soon as possible.
We apologize for this inconvenience.
If you have any further questions, please feel free to contact us back again."
So exactly what does "as soon as possible" mean to LP? To me it means now and as of now ARIES ain't workin'.

I think we'd already figured out there was an 'issue'. I thought they'd probably just reboot the server and it would be off and running. Apparently, it wasn't that simple.

Looks like we're back up and running again. For now, at least.

Weird, but as of today I can't access my sites via FTP (port 21) or control panel (port 2083) on the server "dia". They're resolving properly on port 80, though. I also can't get to the CPanel using the server address at http://dia.lunarservers.com:2083I've had an account here for a few years for my client's websites, and the last time I was able to connect via FTP was a couple days ago. Submitting a ticket now... Did your issues get completely resolved? EDIT: Resolved... just started working again.

2083 is supposed to be used with SSL, so it should be http s://dia.lunarservers.com:2083. Does that work consistently? Dunno about port 21 -- does that require ftp:// ?

Most of us from the server are facing this problem and I guess we all need it to be solved urgently as our files depend on the server. In fact, it is already identity as an issue, I guess there is nothing more to be done other than trying to reset the server and we will see how it goes. But in fact, this should not be happening, and I understand that there would be times things do happen, but I hope that it will never happen again.

toprngr that issue was several days ago. Are you still having an issue on that server? What is your primary domain? Did you open a ticket?
