Yes I'm talking about copyrite material, but before you freak out, please read on....

I produced some spots (music) for the producer, she in turn gave me a VHS compilation of all my spots as well as a few dvds.

When I asked if it was ok to digitize the dvd spots for the website, I was told that was fine but she didn't know how to do this.

sooooooooooooooo, my question is, how do I capture the DVD playing on the PC to a quicktime, realmeadia, dvix, mpeg...etc..etc....for a promo spot?

thanks in advance...

Use a ViewCam and point it to the screen to capture the video. It works!  "[Smile]"

You can use a program called Flask mpeg.  It will decode dvd to mpeg. I don't know about quiktime or real media.

You're looking for something to "rip" dvds.  There's stuff that'll do it, and you can then get it into mpg and avi/wmf/real whatever.  Try the link below.  It's just a search on google.
