Do we have an ETA?

A list of script names/descriptions that we can use for coding while the bin itself is in the works?

Also, can we use our own scripts?

Thanks for your help

First off, please note that cgi access will be availiable to upgraded paid users only...

With that said, our upgrade system will be ready to go by Monday (its almsot done now with just a few little things to test and correct).

As for the script urls.

Perl will be /usr/bin/perl
home dir will be /home/USERNAME/public_html
cgi dir is /home/USERNAME/public_html/cgi-bin

Once again, you will have to ugprade your account to have this service.  Our upgraded service will be a completely new system compared to the current system.  More will come soon....

I'm not sure if you're telling me that,

1)in general, one must have an upgraded account to access CGI; or

2)you think my account is not currently upgraded (I upgraded first of July); or

3)the service/cost structure is changing so dramatically that the upgrade I have will not get me access to CGI scripts after all without additional upgrade; or

4) my account's current status (paid and upgraded) will be migrated to some comparable level on the new structure with the option of additional upgrades; or

5) all of the above? (none of the above?)

Also, does lunarpages send out a newsletter? I think I'm somehow out of the loop.
Please advise... thank you!

DogPpund,
My post was mean two fold

1) To address your questions and give you the proper paths for your script.

2) To inform you and anyone else reading this post that cgi requires you to have an upgraded account.  This was more or less just to make sure anyone reading the post understands that free accounts and paid accounts have different features

WEll Flare, I feel that if I say it as many times as people ask, it helps everyone.  Thats the pit fall of tech support, you have to answer the same question alot but at the same time, you get to help a lot of people.

Further up this page, you should see the answer to your question.

Free accounts do not support cgi,

upgraded accounts (paid accounts) do. Here are the details you need. You can get further help from this forum.

Perl is /usr/bin/perl
home dir is /home/USERNAME/public_html
cgi dir is /home/USERNAME/public_html/cgi-bin
