Where in the CPanel can I modify the default documents?

I don't know if you can change your default doc, but you can set up redirects.  Keep watching this thread, as someone may have more info on that.

You can use

index.html
index.htm
index.php
index.php3

default.html
default.php

etc.

Do you want to make a custom one?

...and if you change the extension of an index page, make sure to delete the old one, because there is a heiarchy of what type of index.xxx the server will serve up ahead of a different index.xxx.

The order seems to be:
1. index.html
2. index.shtml
3. index.php
4. index.htm

So, if you have an index.html and you change it to index.shtml or index.php, be sure to delete index.html from the server, or that's the page that'll keep coming up as the default home page.
