I have a customer that is currently being hosted on the DENEB web server and is very irate at this point. The website is falteisek.com The server went down early last Friday morning and has not come back since just shy of a week later. What's going on that the website isn't back up yet? My customer is so frustrated they are ready to cancel their hosting account. Help!

Do you have a support ticket in? Have they acknowledged it and given you a ticket number? Support doesn't normally read the forum here, so it's not the place to report problems.

downforeveryoneorjustme.com reports they can't get to the site, so it doesn't sound like a local browser or ISP problem. I tried bringing up the site, and got that it can't find /. I can ping the site, so it sounds like the server itself is up.

What I would do is to double check what's in the site's files (assuming you can get through to the cPanel or LPCP, or via FTP). Check that you have a good, readable index.* file. Check that you have only what you recognize and know in the .htaccess file. Check ownerships and permissions on the files, that you own them and they're readable. If all that passes, report it to support. Sometimes it seems to happen that a ticket "falls through the cracks" and no one is working on it. Good luck!

I'm in the same boat.

I'm not sure why it takes so long to restore a server. It's status has been "87% restored" since yesterday with no changes.

For me biggest problem is email is down.
