I just signed up a couple of days ago and I could have sworn that in the control panel I saw a Guest Book and an Advanced Book.  Now I don't see either one of them.

As I was playing around with all of the different options I set up a guestbook and then deleted it.  I remember that there was a "guestbook" or ".guestbook" folder in the root directory.  Figuring that it was created by the guest book app, I deleted this file after I deleted the guest book.  Could this have anything to do with the fact that I don't see any guestbook options any more?

No problem.
Your guestbook can be found if you click on the CGI Center in your c/panel..it gives you the option of setting up either an advanced or standard guestbook.
The folder will be re-installed automatically.   "[Smile]"
