Hello - I would really appreciate some help. I received a warning email that I am using too many resources. The figures were

Stats for 08 Dec 2011:
---------------------------------
CPU Usage - %3.91
MEM Usage - %3.41
Number of MySQL procs (average) - 0.18
Top Process %CPU 86.00 /usr/php4/bin/php /home/lunat4/public_html/index.php
Top Process %CPU 73.00 /usr/php4/bin/php

/home/lunat4/public_html/wp-comments-post.php
Top Process %CPU 40.00 /usr/php4/bin/php /home/lunat4/public_html/lisbon/index.php

I was told the CPU must be less than 2% so in the last 10 days I have spent hours and hours on the internet trying to figure out what's wrong. Until that time I had three websites running on that account. To combat the problem I have moved one site (the lisbon site in the top processes above) leaving me with:-

www.leahwhitehorse.com
www.luatarot.com

The tarot site is on the backburner so hardly receives any visits per day (maybe about 5!). My main site receives on average 150 uniques day. Since the 1st Dec 6442 page views.

Both sites use Atahualpa theme
Both currently have comments tuned off for posts older than 14 days (although I desperately need to turn comments back on at leahwhitehorse.com!)
leahwhitehorse.com now runs through CloudFlare (not a plugin, I joined the site and changed my DNS servers
I have Super-Cache installed on both sites and set it for compression
I have turned off database scheduling so I optimise/repair through my cpanel

Plugins installed on leahwhitehorse.com:-

AddToAny Share/Bookmark/Email Buttons
Akismet
Easy Facebook Like Button
Feedburner Feedsmith
Googlesitemaps (I've taken off the automated redrawing of maps - I'll do it manually)
My Page Order
Wordpress Database Backup
WP-DBManager
WP Super-Cache

Lua Tarot just has:-
Akismet
My Page Order
Page Links to
Wordpress Facebook Like Plugin
WP Supercache

All plugins are up to date. Wordpress is up to date. My theme has just released a new version but I'm terrified of updating it incase it increases the MEM use???

I took off the twitter feed and facebook page script on both sites. I need the facebook page back on there!

My stats now are
Stats for 17 Dec 2011:
---------------------------------
CPU Usage - %0.22
MEM Usage - %2.41
Number of MySQL procs (average) - 0.01
Top Process %CPU 39.00 /usr/bin/php /home/lunat4/public_html/index.php
Top Process %CPU 7.40 /usr/bin/php /home/lunat4/public_html/index.php
Top Process %CPU 2.00 cpaneld - serving 80.189.132.56

But apparently the MEM is still too high - lunarpages want it under 2%! Arrgh! I can't find anything about how to reduce this or what would impact it. After all the changes I've made - including moving a whole site to wordpress.com I have managed to significantly reduce the CPU but what on earth do I do to reduce the MEM? Support are just giving me standard copy and paste answers along the lines of 'thank you for your changes, we will continue to monitor your site' and not answering my questions.

With 150 average a day I am really a tiny fish in a big pond so the suggestion of VPS/dedicated hosting is laughable. There must be a way round this.

I would be hugely grateful if someone can help. I can't work out what would keep the MEM high so I don't know where to start. After 10 days of this I really need to get back to my life and my writing! I have spent hours and hours every day learning as much as I can about optimizing and I'm more than a little frustrated!
Many thanks
Leah

Note that since posting the above I've changed leahwhitehorse.com to the twenty eleven theme in desperation. Ugly theme but I believe it's light on resources.

If anyone can help me with this problem, it would be much appreciated
