Author Topic: I want to create a web site that offers free hosting space?  (Read 274 times)

Ok, I am not the greatest at web building but I have a firm understanding.
So what I want to do is offer people a free hosting plan for small web sites. I want to know if there is an easy straight forward way of doing this.
I want to set them as subdomains, and I want to be able to have all the features of the main site, FTP, CPanel, Email, etc....
Does lunar pages offer a feature like this and if not. They need to get on the ball LOL.

Well, you would not be able to host other people's web sites on the Basic or Business hosting plans, however I think a perfect setup for you would be our reseller hosting plan:

or take a small dedi, easy to host like a 50 sites on it that don't require much resources

He might also mean hosting some family members site.

I host a family members personal page with hername.mydomain.com

Since its only a few webpages for my aunts private family website I figured it was no problems. I don't give any access to anything and I make all the changes for her.

I only use 120mbs in total for my site (lean and mean) so I figured adding one or two family members would be no big deal.

So if he is looking to do that for a few family members then probably no problems. If he is looking at providing the world free hosting then I am pretty sure Lunar would close the account pretty quick.
