Hi. I am begining to have some issues with support@lunarpages.com.
If I asked more than one questions in an email only one is getting answered the rest are ignored.
Also, whenever they responds back, my original message is not shown.
Including the original message (at least the last one) is a help to tie up our questions since
there responses are usually very short( 1 to 2 max sentences).
What do you all think?

Nelson,

They use a ticket system for support, and it sadly doesn't always show the last message you sent. If you want to see them though, you can access the support ticket(s) here:

http://support.lunarpages.com/view.php

It will show the history of the ticket(s), and you can see their status, and the various responses.

I hope things get a bit better for you!

Hi Nelson,

We have received 6 tickets from you today.  I have read and acknowledged the receipt of each ticket.

I have flagged them for the attention of our tech.

We ask that you send in only one ticket at a time as it causes a lot of confusion for us on the desk if we are answering multiple tickets from the same client.

Thank you for your patience.

Amy,

Sorry I have to send that many email.
The were a numbers of reasons.
1. Because I don't know you put all the email I sent to support to your ticket system.
2.  The ticket system is not that easy to use. I have to know the key of every instance. Why can't you just have a user login to see all of the ticket a users has. This will save a lot of ours and your time.
3. Your support did answer or may have answer my questions but the problem still persist.

I always try to figure out a solution to a problem before I contact support. This problem I am having is beyond my control, which I don't have access to (such as domain name not getting removed, etc).
I am still hoping that my issue with the add-on domain smtp email will be resolved.

Kata,

Thanks again. You've been very helpful. You understand what I am going through. I need to get the site up (it's been two weeks), and with all these problems, what would one feel.

Regards,
Nelson

Nelson,

Every email that goes in gets read, if you dont get an immediate response, try to be patient, you will get a response in your email ASAP. The online ticket viewing system is a secondary system for those who are interested in finding out info about their support tickets that they have lost the responses for etc.

The longer response times are because they get sent to a group of experts who dont work in support full time.. . the guys that actually sit watching the servers, and who spend their time making sure everything is in perfect working order. Most webhosting companies have a support team that just tell you too look in the FAQ if they dont know the answer.

Lunarpages is great because they will go far out of their way to get an answer! (They once even got me a some info out of hte source manual for the apache server they run.. to answer my question).

To tell you the truth though.. Amy (the one in this forum) has been the one that brought me and my site up to speed in short order! Ask her.. I have quite a few support tickets she helped me through as well! Smile

In response to the smtp problem you've been having (in the other forum), if those suggestions don't clear things up for you, try setting up a test mailbox, and private message me the username and password.. I would be willing ot see if I could get it working (using a slightly different setup on my machine). Just dont post the username/password in here!  Razz

Hopefully we'll figure your problem out soon!

Ed,

Yes, I think you're right.
Also, I usually can talk to someone when I call in for tech support.
If only the phone support can be 24/7, then they will be one of the best.
Amy has been helpful. I appreciate that.

May be someday, lunarpages may want to extend their phone support.
I am hoping!!

Thanks,
Nelson
