I've recently installed a mailing list application onto one of my sites (www.theenvironmentsite.org)

It seems to have done something funny to my site/server.  Whenever anyone types in the address as above it redirects to the website of the mailing list provider.  If they type in www.theenvironmentsite.index.php its fine.

Whats happened?  I tried inserting a redirect via the control panel but it resulted in a 403 forbidden error  Crying or Very sad

Please help.

PS I've deleted the offending mailing list files.

I just typed in http://www.theenvironmentsite.org
And it works fine.
Perhaps just a glitch?...or a mistyped URL?

Always the case that the solution is blindingly easy and right under your nose.  Fixed it immediately once I found out what it was (not that I'm going to tell you guys, you'll think me a bit of a plank  Embarassed )

The mailing list had an index.html file which when uploaded took priority over my index.php file.  The index.html had a meta-redirect in it.  

It had been a long day  Embarassed
