Having been with Lunarpages for years, if something doesn't change and soon, I'm going to jump ship.
I have the same amount of traffic as I've always had, with fluctuations like everyone else, yet all of the sudden, since some incorporation of the CloudLinux limitation for the server (watchman/Lunarbreezes) suddenly we're hitting our 'memory' limit, but our other stats don't bear this out. Something is very wrong and I've had two independent engineers log on to check and they BOTH say it's on Lunarpages end, and has something to do with LP's own server settings because PHP cannot even load (none of them).
Something seems to be causing a *false positive* when it comes to memory usages, as far as what *is actually* being used and what they claim is being used, whether it's faulty software, or settings, it appears to be on their end (I believe two professional engineers in the field reporting to me independently, they don't even know one another).
Yet LP continuously says it's us, and we need to upgrade to a dedicated package. I am paid by the day...I am losing income as I type this (my husband has been out of work for over two years) this is all we have...if it really were us, okay...then we find a more affordable host, but as I say above, I believe the two independent engineers that went in to check out what's really what.
I am SO disappointed, as a long term customer particularly to be blown off this way, and pressured into purchasing a dedicated server plan there is NO way I can afford. I can't afford to wait weeks as others are forced to do (check out the others on this forum, having similar issues...so I'm FAR from alone in this). LP just keeps putting us under observation and doing nothing. I cannot afford another lost day of work...if they don't get it together in a few hours, I'll have no choice but to find another host. Already looking at other hosts now, and will do what I have to do.
Check out these other forum posts along the same lines...so it's really just the customer? I think not...
http://www.lunarforums.com/web_hosting_help_and_troubleshooting/warning_for_high_usage_of_resources-t56222.15.htmlI'm for no headgames when it comes to service, and I feel this is what I'm now getting.
Disappointed,
Celticharper
