Hi!

I'm having trouble setting up my Mozilla email (and for that matter, Evolution, too) because I don't have the settings for the SMTP server correctly configured.

I have been unable to find this information anywhere on the site, and I need to send email.

I can correctly retrieve email, but I cannot send it.

Can someone please point me at a location with correct information for what to put into which box on the Mozilla email client (or Evolution's settings, it's nearly the same).  I need to be able to send email, too!  (I can get email just fine).

Thanks!

Sorry, this seems to be incorrect.  The email settings I have for POP3 are:
server:  nebula.lunarpages.com
username:  myname+mydomain.com
port: 110

I have input tabs for outgoing (smtp) of:
server name: ?
Port: ?
Use Name and Password? (check the box I presume)
Use Secure Connection? (never / when available / always )  presume when avail.

Please be very clear what goes in what box.

I am thinking that the above link to secure.lunarpages (etc.) is old and outdated.

Thanks,

They are not outdated,

mail.yourdomain.com is an example.

You should replace yourdomain.com with your actual domain name.

You can leave the port setting alone, you don't need to specify it. The default is fine.

Check the box to use a username and password.

"Use Secure Connection" should be set to never.
