I know this is probably a common question but the titles of the posts give no clue as to what their about

so

my page is lunarpages.com/ryanking

I just uploaded it and had to change the directory of the pics from the original that i designed the page with because it wasn't valid for a web address.

so I went and uploaded all the pics into the directory with the new name and then changed the coding so the source acced the correct directory

so when every thing was uploaded and fixed i viewed it and the pics still didn't show up,

I checed the propertied and the directories are all corect

so I guess it's just amatter of waiting for the server to refresh or something

right?

just checkin...

Try checking to see if the filenames are the same as the text in your html file.

Picture, PICTURE and PiCTuRE would all be counted as different files, because the server is case sensitive.

You can set an ftp client to change case on upload, but that could actually make things worse in some cases. What was happening is windows will see PiC, piC and pic as all the same thing, where Linux will view them differently, as Linux pays attention to case, and windows doesn't.  That's why they showed up on your computer but not on the server.  That's why it's a good rule of thumb to just keep everything lower case.  That way you'll never have a problem.
