OK so my domain mnm.ca is hosted at hover.com and the nameserver is set to point to ns1.lunarservers.com.

It is an add on domain and I cannot figure out in cpanel how to make a cname. Google tells me I need to make a cname and point it to gsh.google.com so that I can use the blog.mnm.ca address instead of mnm.blogspot.com

The problem is because my nameservers are pointed to lunar I don't think the setting in hover has any effect. Now because the mnm.ca is an add on domain I have no idea where I would set up this cname. The admin section only allows me to make changes to my primary hosting domain.

So where do I go to make a cname pointed to gsh.google.com? Hover or cPanel with Lunar  Confused

If you are pointing at our nameservers, we can do it.  Just drop in a support ticket, and our support crew can make the needed changes.

So there is no way for me to change these settings?

Is there a way to gain access to that for addon domains?

It can be done, but has to be done from our side of the proverbial fence.  Just be sure to layout everything you need from support, and they'll be more than happy to help out.

I will be creating a few of these and want to make the changes myself because I don't need to bug support every time.

Hover tells me I can do it by changing my name servers back to ns1.hover.com and ns2.hover.com and then changing the "*" and "www" to the lunar ip.

So basically the hosting should be at lunar but I would have control of the A and C names.

A few questions...

1. Would that adversely affect anything else?
2. What IP address would I set it to for Lunar?
3. What do I set the mail settings to to keep them at Lunar?

Ok, yes - the Lunar IP (to be used on www and *) to use would be the server you are hosted on, for the mail/smtp ones you can use the server name (example: foo.lunarsomething.com).
