If i send email using the horde or neomail or anything through a webpage, and the email address is wrong, the email gets sent back to my domain's admin email address, instead of to the sender.  If I had sent the mail using Outlook, then I receive the reject message.  Is there any way I can change it so that ALL reject mail gets returned to the sender (instead of rerouted to admin)?

did that run-on sentence make any sense?

thanks

Oh wait, it seems like if I send it through Neomail, the rejects get routed to the admin address.  But if i send it through Horde, nothing happens- no rejects get sent anywhere..

What's going on here?

Made perfect sense heheh
In CPanel, click on "Default Address"  You can specify unrouted mail (mail to an address that doesn't exist @yourdomain.com) to :blackhole: or to :fail:.  You'll see the directions there.

Can you explain in more detail what those do?

Currently it's set to :fail:.  so I guess that bounces back to the original owner?  But then I don't get why if you send mail through Neomail, if bounces to the admin.

Then :blackhole: says discard.. does that mean you'll never see any bounced messages?  It seems like what Horde is doing, even though my settings are at :fail:.

I would set the default address to the e-mail address you normally use.

I think Horde not sending back bounced messages is to do with the fact that is uses PHP and not CGI/Perl

I think where the bounced messages go depends on the username the php/perl e-mail is run under

support@lunarpages.com may be able to tell you more.

If you are concerned about bounced messages, use Neomail for now.

You should probably e-mail support@lunarpages.com to confirm this, because I am not 100% sure.
